Copenhagen fashion week is one of those events that is prone to fly pass the sartorial radar, overshadowed by the super-sponsored fashion events of London, Paris, New York, and Milan. But for those of us who like to keep a keen eye out for experimental designers, Denmark has put forward a healthy contribution to the bank of designers who cherish minimalism above all else. Danish fashion is angular yet extremely elegant; and sensual in an understated way that gives us a chance to be subtle—rather than painfully patent.
And their fashion industry is booming like never before: Successful designers, international fashion fairs and two annual fashion weeks have rightfully put Copenhagen and Denmark on the fashion map of Europe.
